I am looking for a roommate to rent the first floor / master bedroom suite in a fully furnished, modern townhome apartment. I live in a beautiful, three-story townhome in north capitol hill, one block from 15th Street's commercial section and minutes away from Volunteer Park. This is a corner townhome with great light, floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings, and a large and private rooftop deck with great views. I'm looking for a responsible, mature roommate interested in a monthly or one-year rental agreement, starting around August 1, 2024. The rental agreement length and start date is flexible. We are a BIPOC, LGBTQ-friendly household. This person would take over a fully furnished master bedroom, private patio, and bath, which takes up the entirety of the first floor. Pets are welcome; I would want to meet them prior to move-in and would require a $500 deposit and $25/month fee. The master bedroom floor has hardwood floors, sliding doors leading out to a private patio, air conditioning, and extensive closet space. It's furnished with a high quality queen-sized bed and matching dresser, small desk and chair, and bookcases. The bathroom has a large soaking tub and separate shower, his/hers sinks and a standalone bathroom for entertaining. There is immediate access to the washer/dryer on the same floor, high ceilings, and great light! The second floor is fully shared living space, also fully furnished, and includes a modern kitchen, living room, bar, and dining nook. There is A/C on both the first and second floors and southern light exposure and high ceilings throughout. The living room includes a smart TV, cozy couch, music speakers, and a record player. I love to cook and have all the essentials - pots, pans, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, Vitamix, toaster, instant pot, mixer, Nespresso machine, etc. The kitchen is set up with two bar stools to eat around the counter, or there is a dining nook with a 4-person table that can extend to seat six. The appliances are new and the stove/oven is gas. The third floor is where my bedroom and bathroom is located, and it includes a shared office/guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has a Room & Board pull-out couch, second TV, and small desk. We can share this space for guests and it's a great nook for hanging out privately when the second floor is occupied. Perhaps my favorite part of the home is its large, corner, private rooftop with distant views of the Olympics, Mt. Rainier and downtown. It has a grill and simple outdoor furniture great for entertaining or just relaxing on a nice day. The townhome has a walk score of 96 ("walkers' paradise") and is located in the midst of dozens of parks; blocks from a Trader Joe's, co-op food market, and QFC; and within walking distance from dozens of restaurants. It is located less than a half mile from the light rail Capitol Hill stop and within a few blocks of multiple bus lines that connect to downtown, the University district, Pioneer Square, and Southeast Seattle. There is ample on-street parking within a block of the house, and you can apply for a full time parking pass as a neighborhood resident. There is also a second free parking pass for friends visiting. I have a trickle stream EV hookup in the garage and can provide regular access if needed. Utilities run about $150/each a month and include electricity, trash/water/sewage, gas, and internet. We can decide whether we'd like to split monthly housecleaning (~$100/ month) and/or streaming TV services. Other notes: I have a peloton you are free to use. It will be in the basement (not in master bedroom, as pictures imply!). I am also updating the rooftop furniture with lounging couches, large umbrella, and outdoor rugs. Preference for a year-long lease, but flexible. One month's security deposit is also required. There is a no smoking policy in the home. You would get access to local parking (capitol hill zone 4). Pets, with approval, are welcome for a $500 deposit and $25/month fee.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
