This website asks “What I love about this home” Easy answer, Old Florida! That’s the term my wife uses to describe Dunedin. We ran across this gem looking for a relocation destination that fit our lifestyle. A little slower than the metro area of Atlanta, GA. Beach access was a must and a vibrant, pedestrian friendly downtown area with great restaurants and a sense of community. Well, we certainly fond it in Dunedin. There are too many improvements to this historical, 1952 home to list. But a few are as follows. We matched new oak hardwood flooring in some rooms to the original hardwood that was professionally refinished. We added a modern feel to the open kitchen with designer cabinets and quarts countertops and GE Artesian Series appliances that have an updated but retro look. Refinished bathroom fixtures, floor to ceiling subway tile in the bath and shower area in both baths. New energy efficient windows and door on the San Salvador and rear elevations of the house (only 4 windows left to replace, but not necessarily needed) along with new insulation in the attic helps keep the inside comfortable with the thermostat set on 77. We are just a couple of blocks from the Pinellas Trail, 5 minutes from downtown or Honeymoon Island's beautiful white sand beaches. Great neighbors that have become fast friends...What do I love about this home do you ask? Well just about everything. Come visit Dunedin!
