Hello. Thank you for looking at my property. It has been truly a labor of love for me over the last several years. I bought the property roughly six years ago and spent nearly two years completely renovating the property from top to bottom. I work as a designer and have a passion for bringing old buildings back to life. This was a great project that needed to be done right. The building was built in the late 1880s. It needed a complete renovation. The house was gutted to the bare studs and completely redone with a nod to its past but designed for the future. I care about "green" living so every attempt was made to make it as energy efficient and earth friendly as possible. This included replacing all the doors, windows, roof, and insulation. I also equipped the entire property with high efficiency LED lighting, high efficiency appliances including a new furnace and water heaters. So, this property is very energy efficient which means the utility bills are low. I also installed raised planting beds for home vegetable gardening. I hope you spend your time out enjoying the yard. This beautiful lower unit duplex is available for rent May 1 and potentially sooner. It is a complete renovation with lots of unique features. Beautiful deluxe new kitchen with farm house sink, tons of storage, outside vented range hood and subway tile backsplash, Caesar stone countertops and tile floor. Unique 1880s reclaimed wood breakfast bar. Custom slate feature wall in living room for flat screen TV mount. Large bathroom with walk-in subway tile shower and unique vessel sink. Built in laundry with all new high efficiency machines. High speed internet available via City of Minneapolis wi-fi. Bedrooms and living room have cable ready hookups. Nice bedroom with ample closet space. Large dining room space for entertaining. Cozy sun room for relaxing. Beautiful original refurbished hardwood floors in bedroom, living room and dining room. It is a 1000 square foot first floor unit features high 9 foot plus ceiling, large south facing windows. Due to the large windows, during the day the house is filled with beautiful natural light. And, it has a huge 600 square foot bonus basement workshop area for a total of 1600 square feet. Great for home brewers and artists. Also, great extra storage space. It is a great safe neighborhood, I should know because I have lived just three blocks from the property for the last 30 years. Bike to downtown in minutes. Nearby bus line. Easy walking distance to galleries, brew pubs, great restaurants and more. Surrounded by many beautiful Victorian homes and great neighbors. Also, the couple that lives upstairs are very nice people who live a very quiet lifestyle. Sorry, no pets. I love them, but they are tough on rental properties. There is a great fenced in yard with fire pit and raised planting bed for vegetables and flowers. I enjoy landscaping so I have been making updates to the landscaping over the last couple years. I personally handle the maintenance of the property. Because I live just a few blocks away I keep a close eye on the property to make sure it is maintained properly. There is also off street parking with a single garage. A great space to store your bike, car and toys. Unfortunately, my current renters moved because they found a new home. They were amazing. They made the place their own which is exactly what I had hoped. They hated to leave because they truly LOVED the property. As they said, "it was the best place ever!" I will be sad to see them leave. I am hoping that I will find someone who will love the property as much as they did. I hope to hear from you. It rented quickly the last time it was on the market. I know that once you see the property, you'll love it too. Good luck finding your new home. Owner pays for trash, sewer and water. Tenant responsible for gas, electric and any other utilities such as cable or wi-fi. Fully renovated high efficiency appliances and LED lighting so utilities should be much easier.
