*****New information*****
I just visited the property for the first time in three years last week. I apologize to anyone that has gone up there recently because the weeds had gone crazy!
I cut down all the weeds on the RV pad and cleaned the area. I removed all the rocks on the rv pad and road leading up to the property, except for the one large rock you can see on the rv pad. I cut back all the branches that were encroaching West Lighting Loop Road. All the new photos I added are current photos after maintaining the area.
I cleared out three separate spring areas that I use for water collection. This is by far the driest summer I’ve seen up there, and the springs are running very slow.
Road spring 1: 5 gallons per day
Road spring 2: 12 gallons per day
Downhill spring: 22.5 gallons per day
The area all around the downhill spring is completely saturated so there’s a lot more water that’s just slightly below the surface.
As you drive up W Lightning Loop Road, when you come to the yellow no trespassing signs, that’s the east border of the property. Just past that where the road makes a small jog to the left is where an old skid road exists that would make a far better entrance to the property if developed. The top and bottom of the old skid road are gone, but about 80% of the middle portion still exists and connects right at the first switchback in the driveway above the rv pad.
There are huge blackberry patches all over the property, but the one down the road west of the top pad has world class berries. Everyone that tries them says they’re the best they’ve ever tasted! There are also plum trees full of plums right now. Feel free to indulge!
If you’re in the area, feel free to visit and walk the property at your leisure. Be sure to walk all the way up to the middle and top pads to see the properties beauty and potential. The spring is about 50 yards west past the bottom driveway entrance where there is also a small turnaround area.
