I am renting out the master bedroom of my 2 bedroom house in the heart of Silverlake. The house has original hardwood floors throughout (except the kitchen and bathrooms), new refrigerator, new front-loading washer and dryer in the unit, range cook-top and gas bbq in the back patio. I have been working really hard to renovate everything in the past few months and now I'm ready to rent out the larger of the 2 rooms. The house has 1.5 baths, so the main bathroom would be shared. The shared living space is very large and there is an amazing view from the front balcony. I am still in the process of completing the kitchen remodel, but should be done by the time my new roommate moves in. About me: I'm a 28 year old gay Latino male who grew up in LA, spent time in San Francisco and London, and relocated back to Los Angeles about two years ago. I work as a program director for a large non-profit in south Los Angeles, running several programs and specialty clinics. I tend to work a lot, but like to come home, cook dinner and relax. I love working out--I'm an avid crossfitter (hopefully that doesn't scare anyone away). I'm not a traditional muscle head, but do enjoy my fitness. I also enjoy the occasional bottle of wine...er...I mean glass, and having friends over once in a while. About you: financially and generally responsible, easy to get along with, not passive-aggressive (bad experiences with past roommates), and generally clean. Gay-friendly is a must! I don't care if you're gay or straight, but please respect me, my boyfriend and my friends. I don't mind if you have others come over, sleep over, etc. as long as you let me know if anyone is staying for a longer period of time. I do have to wake up early during the week, so late night parties might become an issue. A couple may be considered as well, although that tends to hike utilities up, but I'm open-minded :) Dogs and cats will be considered depending on the type--hypoallergenic or non-shedding preferred, which I know is more difficult with cats.
