    What's special

I am a graduate student at Mason law and am seeking a subletter to take over my lease from June 1 - August 8th. There is also an option to extend the lease another year. The Apartment: The apartment is a ?junior 1-bd? which means that it is a massive studio that is bifurcated to create a roomy living room and spacious master bedroom with attached bathroom. The kitchen extends out of the living/dining area. I pay $1495 for rent and $15 for electricity. All utilities except electric and cable are included (which is really convenient). The unit is capable of having cable TV and high-speed internet. Washers and dryers are located in the building and I have never had trouble with traffic in regard to other tenant?s use. I do not smoke, nor do I have pets. However, the landlord says that cats are okay without additional fees. I am unsure if dogs are allowed but would be happy to find out if you are seriously considering this great unit. Mail boxes are in the stairwell and I have never had problems. I have never had problems with heat, AC, outlets, etc. Lastly, parking is free but requires a free permit that the landlord issues to you. Applying My landlord is super responsive but never intrusive. You will need to complete an application and credit check. He requires proof that you make 3x the rent. However, I showed him my financial aid statement and this was waived. The Neighborhood The apartment has been a great place to live and you simply cannot beat the price for the area. I have friends going to the same grad school in the area who are paying $1700 - $2200. Numerous times, I have walked across Key Bridge to Georgetown, walked into Clarendon/Courthouse, and easily jogged a short distance to the Iowa Jima Memorial, GW Memorial Bridge, and even Lincoln Memorial. The Courthouse/Rosslyn area is awesome for young professionals but is very friendly for young families, etc. as well. Within a block radius, there is: Jimmy Johns Chipotle CVS Safeway Grocery Store Target Cafe Asia (really good sushi) DC Taco USPS 7/11 Dry Cleaners Women?s Yoga & Fitness studio Domino?s Pizza Tom Yum District (Thai) and Rosslyn Metro (orange/silver/blue) Lastly, below is a link to the website.
