Lake Erie beach home sitting atop the bluff overlooking scenic Walnut Beach. I should start by saying I have no intention of selling at the moment and absolutely love being able to go down to the beach for kayaking at a moments notice. You can see the Lake from the first and second floor on three sides of the house quite easily. There are tennis courts right across the street, as well as Topkey Library. With no neighbor to my right or across the street, it is the most peaceful place on Walnut Boulevard. Since buying the house for $35,000 I have made substantial improvements. I put a lot into gutting the entire first floor aside from the historical elements (which I had refurbished) and replaced everything with modern high-end replacements. The kitchen now has a rare Brazilian Blue Bahia granite countertop, all new bottom cabinets, new stainless steel refrigerator/dish washer. I also installed a LED multi-setting fan/light. The only things original left in the kitchen is the old black oven/stove and the blue checkered curtains on the window. In addition to modernizing the kitchen, I replaced the flooring on the entire first floor with a very durable and comfortable coretec flooring which is really soft on the feet and easy to clean, great for pet owners like me! When I first moved in (2017) I had a brand new heater installed along with a central air/heating system by Ziegler, a local trusted company. More recently when I redid my bathroom (2019) I installed a new water heater, so all of the infrastructure for the house is set for 30 years. I had brand new washer and dryer combination from samsung (2019) that fit snug in this hallway by the bathroom which seemed meant for them. The bathroom was another expensive project, but well worth it. The shower tiled and modern stainless steel with glass sliding doors. The toilet is a new power flush system that won't clog, and I had a light/fan/bluetooth speaker system installed so you can enjoy your music from your phone or other bluetooth device while in the shower for those who enjoy singing in the shower like me. The basement is unfinished and I plan to keep it this way for the time being. I mainly use it for storage as it is a small space with low ceilings. The upstairs and roof remain close to the condition I bought the house in, which is admittedly poor. The carpet is stained and mangy, the ceilings have pealing plaster, and the entire floor needs re-done like I did with the first. I am working on my masters degree, but after that I will start planning a project for a master bedroom, guest bedroom, and master bathroom up there.
