A new master bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet was added in 2022. Wood siding was replaced with cement-fiber boards. Fireplace and wall was removed from living room to extend living room into former den. The kitchen was completely remodeled in 2015. All electrical wiring was updated to present code, a gas line was added for the stove and water installed for the refrigerator. Galvanized water pipes were replaced with copper. In 2006 bathroom was completely ripped out and replaced with new electrical, plumbing, beautiful 12" tiles, clear glass shower doors/wall, vent fan, double-pane window, premium dark wood vanity and side cabinet. All work done by an old, meticulous craftsman. Finished the garage with new electrical, insulation, attic with pull-down stairway, heat/air, drywall and paint. Put in some rugs on the concrete floor and made it into a workshop and playroom. We ripped out the carpeting in the living/dining areas and exposed the original red oak hardwood floors, which we had sanded and refinished. The backyard is large (quarter-acre lot) and with lots of trees and large shrubs. It creates an illusion of not having next-door neighbors. It was recently professionally upgraded with new stamped concrete patios and walkways, french drains and automatic sprinklers. Very nice neighborhood with well-kept yards. Many of the homes in this neighborhood have been completely rebuilt and now sell for much more than ours, which is tiny in comparison to some. Neighborhood Description Located in Arden Park, a tract that was developed in the late 1940's and 50's, it is known for lots of old big trees, beautiful yards, homes with lots of class (not tract homes), and the area is pretty quiet. Because of it's excellent schools, two parks and large yards, it has become popular to purchase the smaller homes, and build a huge home on the lot.
