    The Orchard House has always been a private rental home, but due to the lack of available student housing, we have decided to help the community and offer this unique house to male students this semester. The photos online show the house vacant, but it will be rented furnished. Each bedroom will have a bed, nightstand, dresser and/ or desk area. Additionally there will be living room furniture, and a dining room table and chairs as well as a vintage kitchen table and chairs. The house will have a washer and dryer for the students convenience. The house is entirely hardwood floors- no dirty carpet to deal with. Each room has an area rug and quality window furnishings. The kitchen will be stocked with basic dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils and cookware. Students are welcome to bring their own kitchen items as well,but the basics are provided. There is a vintage table and chairs for 4 in the large eat in kitchen area ~ think 1950's diner style with black and white floors, and red painted cabinets. There is a nice size refrigerator, electric smooth top stove, dishwasher, microwave and garbage disposal. There is only one bathroom however, but hey, its college life and this is an old house. Its a tub/shower combination, sink, toilet and a large storage area for linens and personal grooming items. There are three bedrooms in the house with one already rented, leaving two upstairs. Each one has heir own unique charm, style, and price structure. Each of the bedrooms has a large "walk in " closet that are finished in vintage wood strip paneling. There are shelves in each closet providing extra storage. These are not "walk in" closets by today's modern standards, but they certainly have enough room for most peoples clothes. Additionally, there is a storage area upstairs giving each student a place to store boxes, suitcases and miscellaneous gear. There is NO garage however, and most parking will be on the street. There is a long driveway, but no way to turn around and you would have to park one behind the other if sharing the driveway. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, and we expect students to keep it that way. The house is one block east of Main Street and just off of 200 South~ ( behind Ace Hardware.)? It is a four block walk to the first campus buildings (New Science Unit) and 8 blocks to the Student Center. A car would be helpful, but not totally necessary. Students must commit to a minimum of one semester (Fall - typically 4 months). In addition to rent, a move in/security/cleaning deposit is required in the same amount as the room rate. Most of the deposit will be returned if the room is left in similar condition as to when a student moves in. A small portion of the deposit will be retained to make any repairs, painting, etc. that are deemed necessary upon vacancy of the room. Additionally, we expect students to help maintain the overall quality and cleanliness of the entire house, including all common areas, and outside porch and patios. This will be factored into the amount of deposit refunded. The better you leave our home, the more deposit you will receive back. This is not your typical student housing, nor are we "Slum Landlords" or an impersonal rental agency. We maintain a high level of a quality home and expect our students to do the same. This is not a party house, but an opportunity to live off campus in a unique property. The 1/3 acre of fruit trees, garden space, barbecue areas and fire pit allow students to live in a an environment different from your typical student apartment or dorm style housing. The three bedrooms are rented individually and are set up for one student each. On the main floor is the "Master" bedroom and it is next to the bathroom. and is currently rented. Additionally it has French doors leading to its own private patio area. It has a queen size bed, nightstand, desk and dresser. It rents for $350 per month with a depos
