The city is investing in beautifying the area around Dixie Highway, planting lots of palm trees and running a fun outdoor market in the old downtown area the first Friday of each month. There are nearby parks, libraries, numerous restaurants, and the pier at Pompano Beach, which offers everything you'd want from a South Florida beach townfun, beauty, and ease. It's best to plan to have a car so you can get to the beach and other great attractions of South Florida.
