Our 2.5 bedroom with 1 bath is available for rent. Freshly painted and waiting for you. New washer/dryer and fridge! Get beyond apartment living. We have a delightful bright single family home available for rent in South Arlington. You're centrally located. A short 15-20 minute commute to the downtown/K Street/Federal/World Bank, 5 or so minutes to Pentagon City, 5 minutes to Shirlington, a couple of minutes to 395/GW Parkway and close to other necessities (restaurants, shopping, Arlington transit, movies, etc.). The neighborhood is everything you want: close in, quiet, and with ample parking. Move past noisy/smelly neighbors and traffic noises, booking elevators, stingy storage, and parking issues in an apartment or townhouse. Get your own great deck, barbecue, privacy, and enjoy a large yard on an over 8000 sq/ft fenced lot. Finally, you can smell the air, see the trees and hear the birds! "This house was great for our dog! We are very sorry to leave." Inside, great two level house. Outside, large deck and yard (garage is next door). The first floor has the living room (with cozy fireplace), real cherry wood kitchen (stove, stainless steel inside dishwasher, fridge), and cozy well lit den. On the second floor, you'll find two bright bedrooms and a bathroom. Below, you have a 1/2 basement with AMPLE storage (around 300 sq ft), and the laundry. The current family is moving out of state. The last family move as they bought a house in the neighborhood. We have a very low turnover due to the location and charm of this house. The house is in great condition. No smokers. PETS...yes, if well behaved. NOTE: - Yard is fenced and fully enclosed. - The house can also be supplied as a fully furnished with good furniture, linens, kitchenware and essentials. Please contact us for furnished rent rate. We asked our past renters to provide some comments, here's what they wrote! Thank you for the use of your property. We have enjoyed living in Arlington and will miss the wonderful neighbors. Make this 2-BR house in Arlington your home! With attractive hardwood floors, a fireplace, an updated kitchen and a basement (storage!) with laundry facilities, this house has amenities that no 2-BR apartment can match. My wife and I really enjoyed the large yard and huge deck for outdoor cooking and entertainment. Douglas Park is a great neighborhood with 2 parks and plenty of trees. Parking on South Nelson Street is never a problem as the street parking is rarely over half full. The block is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. Light traffic means evening strolls to the park are a relaxing experience. Our landlords are gracious who made us feel welcome from the beginning. If anything needed repair I could reach them easily by phone or email; though the house is in good shape so repairs were relatively minor/uncommon. We wouldn't be leaving except that our family is growing again. The neighborhood is walking-friendly and has lots of friendly neighbors. Great parks too. For groceries we had easy access to Shirlington (Harris Teeter) and Columbia Pike (Giant). Both my wife and I had no-hassle commutes. For those who use Metro, the ART 77 runs on the half-hour to Courthouse Metro and the ART 84 goes every 20 minutes to Pentagon City during rush hours. The neighborhood is well located, less than one mile from I-395 making access to DC a snap. I work in Old Town Alexandria and the 4.5 mile commute is quick and painless. I also fly frequently for work and National Airport (Reagan, DCA) is less than 4 miles away, a major convenience. The neighborhood is served by both ART and Metro (WMATA) buses, providing easy access to shopping, work or Metro Rail so if you want to park the car, that is an option. Shirlington, Delray, Baileys Crossroads and Columbia Pike are all less than 2 miles away so dining options are endless. YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Tenant is responsible for all utilities.
