The original 1961 cottage had two bedrooms, a bathroom and a "great room" with vaulted ceiling that served as kitchen, living and dining space. In 1996, we added a bigger kitchen, master bedroom and laundry room between the original cottage and the garage, so the master bedroom has an ensuite. The front porch (formerly a screen porch) is where we sit all year round. Kitchen was updated in 2020. The Edgewood Beach Association (33 cottages just north of Riley) owns 400 feet of Lake Michigan beach, so it's a 2-minute walk to go watch the sunset. You can rent our cottage by the month now up to the Memorial Day weekend in 2021, and then for weeks in the summer when we won't be using it. All rents quoted include utilities (Electric, gas, water, trash pickup and internet/wifi). We have a big dog so we're happy to rent to people with a dog. No smoking. Six person maximum. No cats, we have family members who are allergic. Summer weekly rates: $1500 in June, $2000 July or August. Contact me if you would like a tour.
