Norwegian immigrant Benjamin Dolson built this two-story Southern townhouse with double gallery in 1905 for use as rental property originally located at 1419 Mechanic. In 2017 Galveston Historical Foundation moved the house to its current location to save it from demolition. The recently completed rehabilitation of the property included a new pier-and-beam foundation, new roof, repair and restoration of key architectural and structural elements, plumbing, electrical and new mechanical systems.
