NEW Residents New Village residents have 30 days from the date of residency to purchase a vehicle sticker at the regular rate; otherwise a penalty will apply. Vehicle stickers for new residents may be purchased IN PERSON at the Finance Department in Village Hall (50 S. Emerson St., 1st Floor), ONLY, as proof of residency is required. If a new license plate is not available within the 30-day time-frame, a resident should NOT WAIT FOR THE NEW PLATE NUMBER, but rather indicate that the license has been ?applied for." Once the resident has received the plate number, the resident MUST CALL 847/392-6000 to advise the Finance Department of the license plate number. Failure to display a valid vehicle sticker subjects the resident to a possible citation.
