Listed in the 1988 Big Oak Flat Historic Site Survey, described as follows; "17380 Vassar Street, a Neo Classical with many later revisions. This single story, rectangular frame building has three gables. The original front gable house has been enlarged along the east side, with added rooms under an east facing 1/2 gable roof. The structure has a combination of concrete perimeter and pier and post foundations. The roofs are covered with corrugated metal and the siding is vertical planks, pecky cedar. The windows have been replaced with aluminum frame sliders. A stone retaining wall reinforces the building pad and rock walls line a small creek to the west side of the house."
