Pleasant to live on - it's not a through street, so less traffic and quieter. But it is literally a 2 min walk to the neighborhood grocery store, farmers market, and the best restaurants on Mt. Pleasant St. And our block throws 2 block parties every year with live bands for several hours! It is a 2 min walk to the H, 42 and 43 bus lines, a 7 min walk to the S2, S4 & S9 bus lines, and 10 min to Columbia Heights and its metro station (Green/Yellow). Also, Adams Morgan is a nice 15 min walk. Mt. Pleasant residents love their neighborhood - it's diverse, has character, is accessible, is close to downtown and Rock Creek Park, and has nice independent restaurants and stores. The zoo is only a 10-15 min walk away. From our bedroom and the street, you can hear the lions roar in the early morning, see the top portions of the National Cathedral and the annual July 4th fireworks from the National Mall (all in the distance, but you are that close!). We are willing to rent it out unfurnished for $5,500/month or furnished or partially furnished for an additional cost.
