Rainier National Park and Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, plus hundreds of miles of wilderness terrain and forest service roadways beginning steps from the house. The house was completed in 1998, and is an architectural delight that uses 2” x 6” wall construction for added strength, insulation, and quiet. This is combined with massive laminate wood beams which support the expansive great room and covered deck roof. The house has 3 br., 2 ba., with 1,500 sq feet of living space and covered decks that wrap around about 2.5 sides of the house. The front deck is about 8’ x 50’ and covered. It’s about 10’ off the ground and offers delightful views and year round use. The kitchen side deck is about 6’ x 50’ and partially covered. The front door side deck is about 6’ x 20’ long and partially covered. Downstairs there is a spacious 2 car garage roughly 30’ wide by 26’ (~780 sq feet). There is a roughly 30’ wide by 21’ (~630 sq feet) unfinished area behind the garage for storage or to develop. Upstairs, the main part of the house a great room and kitchen with a 16’ tall ceiling at the peak. Expansive window space provides lots of light and delightful views. The master bedroom has 2 closets, ceiling fan, sliding glass doors leading to the deck. The space easily accommodates a king size bed and typical bedroom furniture. A bathroom is accessed from the bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms can easily accommodate up to queen size beds and typical bedroom furniture. The main bathroom is off the hallway between 2 bedrooms. There is wall to wall carpeting on most of the floors except for linoleum on the kitchen and bathroom floors, and some tile by the fireplace and front door. The garage is concrete and partially finished. There is a roughly 10’ x 10’ storage shed near the house with a covered deck and metal roof. The front yard is roughly the length of a football field and about 2/3rds as wide, with lots of tall trees around the boundaries. The yard has an expansive grassy area where Elk and other wildlife visit (see photo). The back yard is bigger than the front. There is only forest land for about 20 miles behind the back boundary. The house is located in a remote area that has a unique quiet. Often you can hear bird’s wings beat against the air as they pass. The house has access to DSL broadband and hardwire phone lines. Starlink may be or soon will be available in the area, and other satellite based broadband services may be available. The house includes 2 electrical panels. One runs only from the electrical grid and the other can run from the grid or a local generator. The 2nd panel includes an outdoor generator hookup and manual switch. The area has very little development for about 20 miles or more in every direction. Walk a short stretch to where the road ends and the views will bring a smile. The nearby forest service roads offer hundreds of miles of amazing walks, horse, and bike riding. With an electric powered bicycle, the range one can travel in this terrain is astounding. Selling the house as-is. The house has a few minor needs and is a seasoned turn-key or an incomparable starting point for someone wanting to make a signature home on special property. Wildlife abounds in the area. The neighborhood Elk herd likes the property and there are times when up to 50 or more Elk hang out for a while. Non-smoking house. The house has a new roof as of 2020. The house uses a septic tank. The tank was last serviced in 2019. The house water source is a highly reliable and treated community well. The Crystal Mountain Ski Resort just announced a 5 year roughly $100 million dollar improvement program to provide added amenities.
