We built this house 21 years ago and we have loved every minute of living in Bodega Bay, we love it that this house is a hidden treasure, from the front it looks like a simple house, but go through the front door into the kitchen and fire place room and there's the beauty, an entire wall of windows no curtains needed for privacy, rolling hills as far as you can see, there'll never be neighbors building behind you because it's an Estate property that can only have one house on it. The sunrises in the fall are spectacular! Theres's a huge garden area and we have chickens but there's room for a granny unit or outbuilding there if chickens aren't your thing. We enclosed the field, the other half of the back property, so the entire back property is fenced, simple wire fencing blends into the beautiful, view. We love the coast, we had this home built to withstand the coastal weather we had them use concrete siding and we had the rafters spaced closer for more roof strength too, there's a nice sized backyard with a natural grassy fenced area and fenced garden area, it's a completely pet safe yard, and the local Deputy Sheriff and his lovely family is our neighbor 3 doors down. We see wildlife daily in the back field and rolling hills, deer, fox, coyote, rabbits, a Heron's land in the fields all the time to eat the gophers, We have lots of local walking and hiking trails, the community is close too, it's truly the small town feel, and very safe. Now we look forward to moving closer to our daughter and impending grandchild.
