This home is in the Hamlet of Amenia which is roughly 2 hours north of New York City and about a 5-minute drive (15 minute bike ride) to the Metro North Wassaic train station. Wassaic itself has much to offer at the Wassaic Art Project and The Lantern bar and restaurant. The Harlem Valley Rail Trail begins at the Wassaic train station and goes north through Amenia to Millerton, (which is another great town to explore!) The Rail Trail is just steps away from this home, and visible from the driveway. Biking along the trail to the train station is a wonderful way to get to the Wassaic train station or downtown Millerton in the summer months! Also within walking distance from the house is the Amenia Library, the post office, Monte's Local Kitchen and Tap Room, Four Brothers Pizza (a local favorite), and several antique shops.
