Extremely rustic Lake Sammamish Cabin with Boat Slip $1700/month (month to month rental agreement) Cabin available June 8th This lakefront cabin is suitable for a rustic, hardy, healthy person or possibly 2 people. Pets must be approved by landlords. A friendly, potty trained dog or cat could be acceptable. Only one parking spot, though. No available street parking. Park at top of street in designated parking spot and walk down driveway, then rickety concrete stairs. 1260 sq foot cabin was built in 1929 and is basically not insulated. An oil burning furnace provides heat. However, the tank must be filled manually with 5-gallon containers. Refrigerator, range, washing machine, dryer, outdoor gas grill. Landlord provides trash and recycling and sewer/stormwater utility. Tenant will need to provide electric, internet, and heating oil. Water bill usage is metered from landlord house next door. The boat slip is designated to the tenant and cannot be sub-let. The boat in the slip, if used, should be registered to the tenant. First and last month rent upon agreement. Month to month with one month notice by landlord or tenant to vacate. No minimum stay but renter's intent should be to stay until at least October 15th (start of the rain and cold). Caveat: the cabin will be removed from the market, but may be placed on the market at any time, but almost assuredly not before Spring of 2026. The tenant will be given 24-48 notice for showings, but prospective buyers may view the premises from the outside or view the non-livable basement area with notice. Cabin available June 8th, Before considering renting this rustic lakefront cabin/shack with a boat slip, please consider the following: You must be in good physical shape, as you will be parking at or near street level, waking down a driveway, then rickety concrete stairs without railings, until you enter the structure. But the biggest challenge will be adding heating oil to the tank for the furnace. This is accomplished by carrying 5-gallon containers (weighing 35 lbs.) via this same route. The burn rate of the furnace varies greatly with two factors: the outside air temperature and the thermostat setting. As an estimate, if the outside air temperature is 40 degrees, and the house is heated to 62 degrees, you will probably burn less than 2 gallons/day. The cabin wiring will only permit one small electric space heater at medium setting. Anything higher will trip the main circuit breaker. If you are interested, please let us know and we will send you the rental contract. If the rental contract is agreeable to you then we will be making appointments on Sunday, May 25, after 1pm-6pm or Monday, May 26th (Memorial Day) 9am-6pm. $1700/month.
