Washer and dryer in basement Eat in kitchen with dishwasher Separate formal dining room Sun room with plants A fire place Radiator heat and central air, well insulated Off street parking Security Alarm system Our house is close to Northwestern and Loyola Universities - a good opportunity for a visiting professor It is less than a block from the Metra station and 4 blocks to the red line The house is available from April 1 2017 for at least 8 months, possibility as long as a year. There is some flexibility on the dates The market rent for this house would be $3,000 to $3,500 a rent (check prices online) We offer $2,000 a month plus utilities (electric and gas heat) to a responsible tenant who will water our house plants, and take care of our cat or $1,700 a month plus utilities to a responsible tenant who will water our house plants, and take care of our cat AND mow the lawn and shovel the snow The yard was an irrigation system which runs on a timer. House plants need to be watered once a week. The cat is very affectionate , but is old and sleeps most of the time. We would leave most of our furniture but move our personal things to storage. We have handy men that we use who will take care of any needed repairs and a friend can come by if there are other problems. We will be accessible by internet, skype or text message while we are away Because it is our home and our furniture, we are a bit selective about who we rent to and will do background checks.
