If you don't like to follow some basic rules you're probably not the best fit for this rental. If you do, you're going to LOVE IT because it's a great spot! - While you do have a two-car garage, if you want to park in a shared space you'll need to get a parking permit approved. It's a bit of a process including, changing your DL to show the rental address on your actual ID and proving that you can't fit both cars in the garage, ie take pictures and show measurements. I'll help you navigate if needed as it's good old HOA politics but just know in advance it's not as easy as just parking your car in the shared spaces. - Rooftop deck, you can't have anything that is visible to anyone else who's on their roof. Think umbrellas, trees, and pop-up tents. It's designed to make sure everyone has a view of the ocean. You can have lights on your roof you just can't leave them on all night. No fire pits for liability reasons. etc. - Other minor HOA'like things such as don't be lazy and leave ur Xmas lights up for weeks after the holiday, don't have towels and wetsuits hanging off the balcony, don't park off centered or outside of basic parking lines, bring your trashcans in like a responsible citizen. Basically, just be clean and respectful like a regular human and you won't run into any headaches. The good news is you have a super cool landlord and the owner (me) so as long as we overcommunicate you'll be fine. - Joe, Owner.
