Hello! I am looking to fill a room in a 1bd/1ba/1den basement apartment in a LeDroit Park rowhome starting April 1. Room fits double bed, dresser, and desk as seen in pics. The room is unfurnished, but the rest of the apt comes furnished (negotiable if you're bringing stuff). Utilities are ~$60/person in the winter and ~$100/person in peak summer. The apartment is spacious for being a basement. I'm 6'3" and the ceilings are a normal height for me. We are the bottom unit of a rowhome that has been converted into 3 separate apartments. We've always been cordial with housemates and help bring in packages or salt the steps in the winter, but the unit has external entrances only. There is a large dining/living room space perfect for game nights or snowed in movie days. Bathroom and kitchen are in great condition. Apt comes with central air controlled by the unit and radiator heat for the whole house with register on the 1st floor. We have a shared outdoor patio in the back that includes a table and chairs, fire pit, and grill. We have in-unit washer and dryer and the machines are pretty new. Neighborhood has great transit options with 2 bus lines on our block, accessible bike shares, and the Shaw-Howard metro is a 10-15 min walk. About me: I'm a 31 yo guy who's been in DC for almost 8 years. I work a pretty standard 9-5 for a non-profit. Work can be stressful so I enjoy grabbing happy hour with friends, watching tv, participating in social sports leagues, and working on some hobbies in my free time. I do have a dog. She's a 55-60lb collie mix rescue who's about 2 yrs old. She is low maintenance and a total cuddler if that makes you happy. I would love to have a roommate I'm friends with and we enjoy hanging out and going out to do stuff, but we also maintain our own lives. Happy to intersect, but also keeping things for ourselves. A dog lover would be super helpful. I pay for everything she needs and take care of her, it would just be great to have a roommate who's willing to dogsit for a weekend when I'm traveling or can take her out at the end of the day because I got stuck at a work event. I'm a clean, pretty fun and easy going roommate who's usually down for most anything. I'm looking for someone with the same vibes. Please reach out with any questions.
