186 Liberty is a historic Liberty Hill home. It was originally built by Attorney Thomas O’Brien and his family in 1883. The original address was actually on Dolores Street, but the house was relocated to its current location on Liberty Street in 1922 to avoid additional city taxes levied against houses on Dolores. During the renovation, we found some quirks, like a window that was at floor height, but never reframed. We hope you enjoy our home, our Mission community, and some of the art that we’ve collected along our way. We began renovating the building with two of our best friends—a GC-interior designer power duo—and personally selected every color, finish, and detail. We’ve loved setting down roots in the Mission and having this place to host friends and family.
