The layout they created keeps the guest quarters separate from the owner suite and maximizes river views from the living areas. Enter the home from the covered front door or, typically, through the mudroom from the oversized two car garage and you will immediately notice the 9-foot ceilings, a custom touch that provides light figuratively and literally. The open and bright kitchen, living and dining area make use of the tall ceilings with huge windows looking over the back patio to the Chena River. Don’t miss fine details like a transom window over the patio door or the down draft cook top on the awesome island with a disappearing vent fan. There is a wing to the sun room which is a perfect three season space for the plant lover. Another wing takes you down the hall to bedrooms and a full bathroom. The owner suite is yet another wing, situated to make more use of the river views, with a walk in closet and full bathroom boasting a steam shower and 6-foot long tub. Hosting gatherings was a core concept in the design so from the main living area there is a powder room for guests, a den which can double as a more intimate conversation area or a fourth bedroom and a butler’s pantry. All the essentials are on the main living area and this house can be comfortable well into retirement years however there is a staircase up to a secret office nook. It is not really a secret but it feels that way, private and secure. The grounds have been fully developed. There is a paved concrete driveway, two tiered, to access the garage or the roof extension for dry storage that also has RV hookups underneath. A yard with a fenced pet area has been established and it is wonderful but probably the favorite spot is the back concrete patio. In the summer with the back door open it extends the entertainment area from inside right up to the river. In the shoulder seasons it does well with a fire pit and lounge chairs. In the winter it is the absolute perfect place to sit in the hot tub and stare directly up into the northern lights. Is the wiring installed for a hot tub already? YES
