This letter, written by Jean Hilliard to her son Jeff in 1985 marked the beginning of decades of family gatherings, peaceful mornings in the garden, and memories made in every room of this Yarmouth Port grande dame. Over two acres of flat upland provided more than enough space for Mr. Hilliard's garden to thrive, along with a frog pond with views out to Cape Cod Bay. The barn, built in 1945, boasts an impressive 1000+ sft footprint. Over the years the family made two very thoughtful additions to the home: one a sunny living room with screen porch and another more recent addition of a tall-ceilinged library where Mrs. Hilliard thrived with her books as much as her husband did with his plants, trees and flowers in the yard.
