    An ideal family home, especially for work-at-home professionals, in the family, children and pet-friendly Tananger Woods neighborhood in the quiet, rural, Town of Northumberland. It is served by the excellent, and very active, South Glens Falls Central School District. For parents with younger children, drive time to Ballard Elementary School is only 11-12 minutes by either of two different routes (Google maps). It is somewhat separated from family activity, and therefore quiet and distraction free; making for an efficient, and productive, work environment. For complete privacy and security, it can be closed off with lockable bi-fold doors. The real center of family, socializing, and entertaining activities is the wide-open great room layout combining an eat-in kitchen, formal dining area, and bay window breakfast nook, in turn leading to an over-sized, sunken family room. The family room has a gas fire place and sliding glass door to the back yard. Combined, these rooms span the entire rear width of the house; over 45 linear feet of open, friendly, casual space for family and guests. The large, one acre treed lot provides plenty of privacy. A portion of the backyard was leveled in anticipation of a pool installation. That was our original intent, but Moreau Lake State Park is conveniently close and offers classic beach swimming and recreation. An extra-wide, extended paved driveway furnishes space for RV and off-street guest parking. The attached two-car garage has extra floor area for storage shelves and tools. Multiple power outlets are a real convenience for the home mechanic, automobile enthusiast, or home handyman. The basement has a convenient walkout, sliding glass door to the side and back yards. There is a fixed work bench with permanent power outlets, and the basement makes for a nice home workshop. There are washer and dryer hookups, with provision for either an electric or natural gas dryer. Also, extra outlets for a freezer. Until retirement, one of us was required to store work-related equipment and records at home. So, while the basement has always been dry and never flooded, a permanently installed sump pump assures that it will stay that way. Despite its rural location, 19 Robins Run has easy access to the Northway (I-87), and is a short drive to schools, shopping, sports and entertainment venues, several museums, and a number of other attractions. Winch Middle School, 16-18 minutes; Wilton Mall, 13 minutes; Saratoga City Center, 16 minutes; Skidmore College, 16 minutes; Saratoga Race Course, 17 minutes; Canfield Casino, 18 minutes; Glens Falls Civic Center, 17 minutes; Hyde Collection Glens Falls, 17 minutes; Moreau Lake State Park, 11 minutes (Google maps drive times).
