    What's special

Home office setupPlenty of storage spaceOpen floor planLarge bathroomOpen kitchenIn-unit washer and dryerBlackout shades

Spacious, sunny, south-facing top-floor one bedroom apartment for rent. Updated throughout the open floor plan. Both the bedroom and the main living area are well-proportioned with plenty of room for a home office setup in either room (or multiple home offices). It is the closest apartment to a generously-sized shared roof deck. The large bathroom has an in-unit washer and dryer. The bedroom, on the southwest corner, has windows on two sides, while a bank of oversized windows in the living/dining area let in plenty of light, even on cloudy days. And blackout shades mean you can keep the light out when you want to. Two big closets, a freestanding armoire, and a built-in bookshelf give you plenty of storage space. The open kitchen with a custom-built island will be great for entertaining, as the city opens back up. In the meanwhile, you're a very short walk to the large green space of Rock Creek Park, and smaller spaces of Kalorama Park and Meridian Hill. The location is central: the U street corridor, Dupont Circle, and Adams Morgan's shops on 18th Street are all blocks away. The building, built in 1908, is historic and neighborly. DC's best Eritrean restaurant and hamburger joints are across the street, and because the apartment is set back from both 18th Street and Florida you are insulated from street noise while keeping all the convenience of being in the middle of one of the city's very best neighborhoods. Renter responsible for electricity and internet. The unit has its own heating and A/C system. There is no gas. Water is included in the rent, as part of the homeowner's association fee, which is also included. Sorry, no pets, and no smoking. There is no parking place but street parking, with a resident's permit, is generally quite easy.
