Hello there, I have an unfurnished room available in a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath on the top floor of a classic Victorian in West Oakland. Around the corner from Ghost Town brewing, close to the bay bridge on-ramp and about a mile away from downtown Oakland. The house is located on a nice tree lined street with ample street parking and one shared parking space. The room about 15x15 has a small closet and a large window that gets morning sunlight. The unit has a grand living room, fantastic kitchen, washer and dryer, back patio, and glorious backyard. The unit is only shared by me, 38F, bartender and hobby sewist. There are 2 other units on the ground floor that share the backyard, laundry, and parking space. I have 2 cats, and am not looking to add any more. Dogs may be considered on a case by case basis and must get along with all other animals. I am looking for 1 individual, not a couple, that is conscientious and considerate about living with people. I keep a very high standard of cleanliness in the shared spaces so I expect someone to share the responsibilities of maintaining a house, such as sweeping/mopping, trash, bathrooms, and kitchen. I would also consider hiring a monthly cleaner if it makes our lives easier. Cooking anything anytime is cool, overnight guests are cool as long as it's not an every night situation. I like to host gatherings/BBQ's/parties, every so often that can go later on into the evening, so that is something to take into consideration. Rent is $1050, (Water, garbage, and internet is included) PG&E is billed separately monthly and is the total bill averaging $50, but can be more in the winter. Deposit is $1000.
