A window AC is provided for the master bedroom. Stainless steel fridge, radiant cooking range and range hood, are in the kitchen. A dishwasher and a nice skylight are in the kitchen too. The guest room has a mirrored door closet and a nice 12000 BTU split AC with heat pump. The heat pump can generate heat 3 times more efficient than an electric heater in winter similar to TESLA heat pump used in cars. Energy efficient is our top priority and we put solar panels on the roof about 5 years ago with Tesla (named Solar City before). With the PGE electricity rate more than doubled now after past 5 years, we begin to enjoy the fixed KWh rate of 5 years ago and see the saving of electricity. In addition, we replaced all the windows with double pane vinyl windows. We also blew insulation into the outside walls and the attic. For the added master bedroom, we even saw 6 inches insulation under the floor required by the city permit. We also bought a gas dryer costed $50 more since gas is about 3 times cheaper than electricity. Both the cloth washer and the dryer are made with stainless steel drums. The thing that I dislike the most is the long wait of hot water coming to your hot water faucet especially in winter. And probably you are too! Although it can be solved by using hot water recirculating pump, it is a huge waste of energy and money by heating the hot water pipe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Instead, I installed a mini water heater under the sink. You get the hot water almost immediately without wasting any water down to the drain. In addition, I installed a water softener to improve the household water quality. You can buy salt from my favorite store Costco about $5 each month depending on your water usage. It is in the heart of the Silicon Valley where many high tech companies are around including CISCO, BroadCom, Marvell, On Semiconductors (in the walking distance), Skyworks, eBay, and Synaptics. Intel of Santa Clara is not far about 5 miles. Bart of Berryessa station is about 1 mile away. Highway 680, 880, 237, and 101 are easy to reach within 1 to 5 miles. Ranch 99 and Costco are within one mile in a walking distance. You can save 50 cents per gallon at least or $3-8 per car buying gasoline from Costco. In addition, there are many restaurants around Ranch 99 so that you can eat at different restaurant everyday without repeating the meal for a month! H-MART, Safeway, and Sprouts are within 2 miles. The Great Mall is about 3 miles. The land of this property locates on the corner lot which the size is much larger than 6000-SF mentioned in zillow.com. Although we cannot use the land to build an ADU due to the city rule of minimum distance of 24 feet to the street, we grow organic fruit trees and vegetables on the land.
