Holzclaw-Taylor House is thought to be the oldest surviving structure in Canton. Hand-hewn post & beam construction. Unknown original owner built for the construction of the Western Turnpike & thought to be the only surviving artifact of Pigeon River's 19th century role as supply center for WNC. Originally designed in the Greek Revival style. This house predates Canton & Pigeon Ford (name before Canton) & even predates Buford (name before Pigeon Ford). Commercially zoned. Just off Main Street in downtown Canton. New porch, new metal roof, and structural work completed but still requires a full renovation. Don't miss this opportunity to own a piece of history.
