This 2 bedroom home is a unique and historic beach cottage that is the one of the first homes built in this area in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The house remains in the family that built it. The house is all original with the exception of electrical systems brought to code with 150 amp service and was done by a licensed electrical contractor in 2007. The sewer system is also up to code with PVC Pipe, All cast iron pipe was removed. The roof was replaced professionally in 2009 as actually built using the hardwood pines that were harvested and cut in a local sawmill on the mainland. There is a cozy front porch that spans the front of the house where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. There is a short walk to the private beach that is exclusively owned by the residents who live in the neighborhood and is managed by the Surf Side Beach Club. We pay a small yearly fee to belong to the club. The amenities of the club give you a lovely picnic cabana for picnicking, a refreshing shower, benches, and all this is maintained by the club. The cottage is conveniently located near public transportation, just a short walk to the bus stop, there is also a public boat ramp less than a mile from the house. there is also plenty of room on the property to park your boat or jet skis. It is a cozy little cottage in a cozy neighborhood with lots to offer. The yard is a real haven there are plenty of shade trees with lots of room for barbecues and cookouts. Of course since we are near the ocean there are many fine seafood restaurants near by, charter boats for deep sea fishing down at John's Pass and just 6 miles from Clearwater Beach with all of its fine dining and tourist shopping. What a delightful place. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we have over the years.
