Hank is 200+ years old so is protected by the city. He's more than 10 feet around, sporting a basketball hoop that a family nailed in decades ago that his since grown to be a part of the tree, and if you're lucky he will gift you with more pecans than you can eat. Some of our neighbors have been around for 50+ years, while others have just moved in the last 3-5 years. We have made meals for each other, leave cookies on each other's doorsteps, checked on each other's pipes during the winter freeze, dog sat pets while neighbors were on vacation, brought packages to each other's doors when there was a wrong delivery, and we even had Thanksgiving together one year!
