    What's special

Our fully-furnished, elegant, home is in the vibrant Hillsboro Village neighborhood, with its historic 1920s and '30s houses. It is within easy walking distance of Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities, Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Historic Music Row. You can walk to the grocery store and to coffee shops, restaurants, businesses and Nashville's only independent cinema (Belcourt Theater), all around 21st Ave. South. You can also drive downtown quickly, and the highway is minutes away (airport 15 mins drive). Our house was thoroughly remodelled 7 years ago but retains its period charm. We have a living room with grand piano, dining room with large dining table, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a large, light-filled family room at the back of the house, which opens to a veranda and a screened porch, both of which overlooks a secluded rear garden. An adjacent outside dining area has a built-in, high-end grill and wrought-iron table and chairs. It too is private, screened from neighbors by mature foliage. Our home has a large master bedroom on the second floor, also at the rear of the house and overlooking the garden from its balcony. Its spacious bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower and two sinks, elegantly standing on a refurbished farmhouse table. The master bathroom leads onto a fantastic large walk-in closet, with windows, its own suitcase closet, and a built-in ironing board. The house has three additional bedrooms, two of which are currently set up as studies (one with a fold-down sofa bed), and the third as a guest bedroom (downstairs). There is also a small sitting room next to the master bedroom, which we use as our TV room. There are another 1 and 1/2 bathrooms downstairs (in addition to the upstairs en-suite bathroom). You will appreciate the space (3400 sq. ft.) but you will also enjoy the character and charm of this house, which we loved from the moment we saw it. It would perfectly suit an professional couple. We prefer a tenant who will stay from September 2017 through July 2017. We are offering a 9 month lease, renewable monthly through July 2018. Owner pays for trash, yard and garden maintenance, and twice monthly cleaning by trusted cleaner who has cleaned our house for 5 years impeccably (negotiable). We will bill the tenant for Piedmont Natural Gas bill (monthly average/over 1 yr = $88), Metro Water Service bill (monthly average/ over 1 yr = $22), and Nashville electric bill (monthly average/over 1 yr = $106).
