The building is quiet and mostly owner-occupied. Fantastic location with easy access to Muni (Church and Van Ness stations close by) and the highway, easy walking (5-10m) to nearby grocery stores (Trader Joes, Safeway, Whole Foods, etc). Quiet neighborhood, but just a quick walk (5-10m) to the bars and restaurants of both Hayes Valley and Lower Haight. A couple small parks and greenery on the same block, and larger parks (Duboce and Alamo) just a brief walk away. Pictures show room furnished - but will be clear and clean by move-in date. There's a possibility to buy furniture from the previous occupant if you want. I'm a mid-30s engineer (a unicorn in this town I know), and have been living in SF for 10 years. I split time between SF and Tahoe, and so may not always be around all the time (especially in the winter). I'm generally quiet and respectful and expect the same. I tend to do my socializing outside of the apartment - you likely won't find me hosting many dinner parties or having friends over that often. While I prefer the same in a roommate, I don't have problems with having guests over within reason and strive to be friendly with everyone. I do work from home occasionally.
