The building was constructed in 1880 and is a classic Victorian red-brick design. It is listed in the Potter County’s Historical Register. It served as a car dealership in the 1940s, and later a Western Auto Associate Store. In the 1970s it was combined with a neighboring space and turned into a combination Hardware and Sporting Goods Store. Today, it houses the Elliot Ness Museum. The main floor has 6,000 sq. feet of retail space and 1,500 sq. feet of warehouse space, the second floor has six, one-bedroom apartments and a laundry room. Currently all available space is leased.
