The Besemer family homestead (c.1816) once served as an inn providing shelter & hospitality to travelers on the Catskill Turnpike. In 1875 the Elmira, Central & Northern Railroad installed tracks near the home. Josiah Besemer built a passenger & freight depot in use until rail service was discontinued in 1935. This classic home will serve you well, make you proud...and still be here in 200 more years.
