This unique off grid home sits on 5 acres of redwood forest in the Los Gatos hills/ Santa Cruz Mountains. Water comes from a spring and electricity is provided by solar. Back up power provided from an inline propane generator. It is peaceful, serene, quiet. Private access dirt road leading to property, tenants will be given gate opener/code. Very safe area. Plenty of room for small dogs or cats. There are challenges, however, that come with living in the mountains. Heat is provided by a wood burning stove, Internet is provided by Satellite (HughesNet), TV is provided by Dish or Directv, limited or no cell phone service while onsite unless connected to Wifi. Please understand that Hughesnet is satellite internet, high latency with monthly data caps. Ideal candidate would have an in person day job off-site, returning to home to sleep, eat, and relax. Ideal tenant would have experience living in the mountains or off-grid properties, have a full time day job (not working from home). Free Eggs! Provided by 4 chickens that will be under the care of the tenant. Farm animals are ok (goats, pigs, chickens). Outdoor cats are strongly encouraged, dogs are ok (breed dependent).
