PENTHOUSE PRIVACY STEPS FROM DOWNTOWN DIVERSIONS You just can't do better than being one block from the Historic Downtown Mall, with its awarding winning restaurants, coffee houses, antiques, boutiques and bookstores. There's the charming Bashir's middle eastern restaurant on one end and the very elegant, high cuisine Hamilton's on the other end, with a multitude of choices in between from trendy Sky Bar with its roof-top dining, to gourmet pizza at Christian's. And let's not forget those hidden gems the locals try to keep secret - the historic C&O Restaurant just off the mall and the authentic 1950's diner tucked in the back of Timberlake's drugstore serving the best real milkshakes in the area. And if you don't feel like cooking for Thanksgiving, did you know that the Omni Hotel, located just a steps away, prepares the most fantastic Thanksgiving Buffet every year? How convenient is that?? For the tenant who likes the coffee house scene, there numerous cafes to choose from, including the popular Mud House with it's Bohemian converted-warehouse decor inside and its terrace, perfect for people watching, outside. I could go on and on, listing the many antique stores for the antique lover (such as the Oyster House specializing in Chinese antiques) and the plethora of new and used bookstores for the book lover. And then there is the cinema with its 10 screens and the ice rink right there for the tenant that wants to "veg-out" or do something more active. The ACAC state of the art Aquatic and Fitness Center with it's indoor pool and training facilities, is also within walking distance, a block on the other side of the mall for the even more energetic tenant. There are several places to do grocery shopping, including the quaint country store at the end of the mall and the Market Street Market full service grocery store and delicatessen on Market Street. In the summertime there is the City Market where you can buy fresh produce straight from the local farmer right off the truck. So you can enjoy the best produce of the surrounding countryside right at your urban doorstep. How convenient is that? For the wine lover, there is my favorite, Market Street Wineshop where Donald, the owner, will personally assist you in picking out that perfect wine for your particular occasion. Parks, public library, post office, court house, police station, and City Hall itself are all right there for recreation, security, and any business one might have to do with the city. Oh, and I almost forgot the art lover. Just next door is the McGuffey Art Center where you can meet and talk with local artists about there work and enjoy regular gallery openings or take lessons from accomplished artists. What a resource for the art connoisseur! Forgive me for my enthusiasm for all that downtown has to offer, but I spent many years there and I must say you really can't beat that location for all it has to offer. Owner pays for trash, sewer, and water. Tenant responsible for electric.
