Update: All of the photos now showing are current. About the House The previous owner, Thea, made a lot of updates to the home. We picked up where she left off. She added granite counter-tops, new cabinets and a new dishwasher to the kitchen two years ago. We added a new sink and a new 40-inch range. Other updates of note include updates to the electrical system: we went from 110-amp service to 220, had several GFCI outlets added around water sources and had the knob and tube wiring removed from the attic (Palmer Electric). I also replaced one ceiling fan and added two more. Our main bathroom received a new toilet and a new shower-head. The other bathroom toilet was replaced by Thea. 5 Star Foundations leveled the master bedroom. Havard has been providing bug and termite coverage since we moved in (the home, workshop, and detached garage all received Termidor termite treatment and are under contract). We have a current home warranty with American Home Shield. The wooden windows had several cracked glass panes when we moved in. City Glass replaced all of the cracked glass and re-glazed all of the windows with putty, which should last for 30 to 40 years (waiting for putty to cure to paint). I added a full-sized attic door and closed the previous attic entry located in the pantry. The detached garage's power was restored and new fixtures added for lighting and GFCI outlets. The detached garage has a new metal roof, and new vinyl siding on the back half. When we bought the house the yard was a jungle. I removed numerous trees (entire lines of them), dug up several stumps, tore down a rotten shed, worked to improve/ restore the workshop and detached garage, erected a privacy fence around the backyard, trimmed 8-10-foot-tall Azaleas to a manageable size, removed junk trees, and weeds from amongst them, added Encore Azaleas, Knockout Roses, Drift Roses, Fig Trees, Gardenias and put river rock, flat stone, and jumbo gravel in the flower beds in the back of the house. Additional our yard has mature pecan, and oak trees; not to mention the trees all around the property. We have seen Deer, foxes, owls, rabbits, turtles, and hawks in our yard.
