I am renting a 1 bedroom/1 bath flat behind a main house on 2.5 acres in the Highland Valley area of Escondido. It is an open floor plan with one bedroom. There a patio deck with a view. There is a small backyard as well. Six month lease required. This rental is for one individual (NO couples or kids), non-smoker, no drugs, or hard party people. I will not respond to requests to make exceptions. This is country living in the wine country of Highland Valley but only five miles from the 15. Nice horse property with great sunsets will be available around Feb 15. Many local wineries surround the property as well as hiking/biking trails, and it is close to the Wild Animal Park. Important things to note: There is no central air conditioning/heating. The house stays cool in the summer with multiple ceiling fans and dual pane windows. The Franklin stove will keep the house toasty when cold. The washer and dryer are portable ones not full size units, but they are able to wash bedding. There are three friendly dogs, a couple ranch cats, and two horses on the property. The dogs do bark some at night when coyotes come near the fence. The horses roam the property during the day. This is unique place that isn't going to be good fit for everyone. It will suit the person that likes this kind of living. If interested, send an email and tell me a little about yourself.
