Welcome to a lovely refinished basement in the quiet neighborhood of Ravenna. This is a separate floor with a private entrance, with one bedroom, and a pull-out sofa and air mattress available in the common area. There is a kitchenette (built in 2020, including refrigerator, oven, range, dishwasher and microwave), bathroom with shower, and washer and dryer. The space stays cool in the summer and has individual heat control in the bedroom and the main living area. We have very good wifi. The furniture was all purchased in 2020. There is a private bedroom with queen-size bed and dresser. The common space has a pull-out couch (twin-size mattress) and an extra air mattress (queen-size) so we can accommodate 4-5 people total, though the space works best for one or two long-term tenants. The whole space is about 800 square feet total. Guests have access to the whole downstairs space, and can also go outside to the backyard (though not to the upper deck). To enter, you should NOT go to the front door, but rather to the separate basement entry. Please note that the upper floor is rented separately and guests do not have access to that floor. My wife and I live on the same street, just a few houses down, and we are ready to help with questions or solve problems should anything come up. The door has keyless entry so we'll give you a code before you arrive. Ravenna is a quiet neighborhood about 1.5 miles from the University of Washington and about 6 miles north of downtown Seattle. The space is just a 5-10 minute walk to the grocery store, several restaurants and several parks. There is plenty of free on-street parking outside (this is not always easy to find in Ravenna!) and the street itself is low traffic. It's easy access to local bike and bus routes. We are very close to I-5, making it easy to get to work, school or a weekend getaway. We are asking for a six-month term with the option to convert to month-to-month thereafter. Landlord pays for utilities including heat, electricity, gas, water, sewer, garbage, recycling and wifi. No pets allowed. There is plenty of free on-street parking outside. Please note that there will be other tenants staying on the upstairs floor, so there may be some noise at times, but we ask them (and you) to please keep noise to a minimum at night. This is a quiet neighborhood, so please no parties and no loud music. No smoking or drug use (including marijuana) in or around the property. We will accept a reusable tenant screening report. The main criteria for tenant screening are based on credit check, legal history (including evictions) and willingness to adhere to terms of the lease agreement itself.
