The 408-acre Gooseberry Creek sporting ranch is 22 miles east of Meeker, Colorado, on paved County Road 8 in the scenic White River Valley. County Road 8 is also known as Flat Top Road and is a designated Colorado Scenic Byway. Gooseberry Creek flows down through the ranch from the White River National Forest which borders the ranch on the north. BLM borders the ranch on the south. The creek joins the fabled White River south of the ranch. The ranch has direct access to this world famous fishery. The lucky owner of this ranch can get on a horse and ride out the back gate into two and a half million acres of wilderness and National Forest. A log lodge, barn, sheds, corral and shop overlook a large pond. A two bedroom hunting cabin, remote from the headquarters area, is situated in an aspen grove along the creek near the National Forest. The ranch is in one of the most prolific wildlife areas of Colorado and produces significant herds of large game animals. The ranch is currently leased to a big game outfitter.
