If you love nature but still want to be close to town, it's perfect. *DIRTY DETAILS / QUIRKS*: -Well Water: We have a deep artisanal well. The water was amazing until nearby development shifted the water table, so we installed a $1,500 water softener. -Tenants need to: Add a bag of salt to the brine tank (we provide it) Change the filter in the crawlspace about once a month (we provide filters) Note: When the power goes out, the well pump stops, so no water until power returns (standard for well homes). Trash & Large Items: The private service picks up weekly but will not take anything that isn't in the bin. Large items must be taken to the dump or scheduled for pickup (fee through the service). Septic System: Absolutely NOTHING goes down the toilet except waste and toilet paper. No wipes, no feminine products, nothing else. This is standard with septic systems. No Smoking: No smoking (cigarettes or marijuana) inside the home. porches are fine. Old walls hold smells forever. Washer & Dryer: They work, but they're old. If either dies, we'll try to replace through Habitat or another inexpensive source. You're welcome to bring or buy your own at that point. Renter responsible for upkeep of yard. Owner provides push mower. No more than 2 dogs or 3 animals total, each requiring deposit and check-ins. I would actually like to do a 9 month lease (ends August 1) with hope for yearly renewal after that.
