Neighborhood kids still mow lawns, babysit and address you as Mr. or Mrs. Family is the centerpoint for the community. Parades, family picnics, music in the park, farmer's market, and a downtown that is inviting for everyone plays a big role in the community. Halloween is incredible. They block off a few city blocks, people theme decorate their homes, put on skits etc. It is estimated that about 1600 people come to trick or treat and more just to see the incredible victorian homes all spooked out. Northville is the most wonderful community I have ever lived in. Great schools. Great people. Ambience. Educated. Accepting. Warm and inviting.
