MAIN STREET: Awesome shopping/restaurant district is just 4 blocks away, where you will find every type of cafe and cuisine imaginable in all price ranges, and an eclectic mix of boutiques, vintage clothing, surf shops, history, galleries, etc. Urth Cafe, Stella Barra, Dogtown Coffee, and lots of other great places are stumbling distance. A wonderful Sunday morning farmer's market takes place on Main St too. Only 10-12 blocks away (15 minute walk) is the famous Santa Monica pier with its amusement park & restaurants, downtown Santa Monica & the 3rd St Promenade which has 100's of stores and restaurants, movie theaters, and talented street performers (this is LA, after all!). ABBOT KINNEY / VENICE: The artsy/beachy/trendy neighborhood is also only about 10-15 blocks away (15 minute walk) and is home to some of the best restaurants in the city and some of the truly must see LA spots (Venice boardwalk, canals, Muscle Beach, "White Men Can't Jump" basketball courts, etc.). Both Santa Monica and Venice beaches and their attractions have been seen in countless movies & TV shows over the years, and always provide great free entertainment for the whole family! PARTIES: This is not a party house. If you choose to stay here, it is critical that you are respectful of the neighbors and neighborhood and not make lots of noise or party at the house.
