WORK FORCE HOUSING: Please review the following qualifying criteria if you are applying for a work force housing unit. Applicants must provide their most recent tax return OR verification of no tax filing from the IRS and two (2) months worth of income documentation such as two (2) bank statements or four (4) paystubs. A benefit letter is acceptable so long as it contains the applicable time period and the periodic amount. This is needed in order for it to be sufficient supporting documentation.
-Applicants must be employed full-time in Sussex County (working a minimum of 30 hours per week).
-All residents of the household ages 18 or above must sign individual income verification forms authorizing the owner or its management agent representative to verify total household income and household eligibility to occupy the Affordable Unit. They must provide either their most recent tax return statement and an affidavit attesting to their income.
-The household income must be certified as being at or below 65% AMI of the HOME income limits. Incomes will be certified in accordance with LIHTC/HUD 4350.3, Change 4. (Revised 11/13).
