One room for rent in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house in North Austin. The room is 122 sqf and shares a bathroom in the hallway with one other female roommate. It easily fits a queen sized bed, and a desk and a dresser. Move in date is flexible. Currently, the house is semi-furnished, I am working on furnishing it out, but you're welcome to bring your own furniture. We now have a big couch, not pictured. The house is 1,200 sqf and has a large, fenced backyard with a deck and a 2-car garage. It's close to Apple, the Domain, ACC Northridge, Walnut Creek Greenbelt. There are 2 HEB's within a 7 minute drive. Easy access to both Mopac and I-35. Downtown is about a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic. About the household: I'm 39, queer, nonbinary AFAB (assigned female at birth). I like to get out of the house as much as possible, and enjoy dabbling in anything active: cycling, rock climbing, yoga, volleyball, etc. I work as a field ecologist. I have an incredibly sweet,10 year-old, 42 lb. dog. My roommate is female, 29, works in nightlife, loves going to shows, and has a bunny she keeps in her room. We're looking for an LGBTQ-friendly roommate, ideally in your late 20's or 30's-40's. It's a plus if you're handy, and I'd be open to a work-trade situation on a project-by-project basis. Pets are welcome with a screening first to see how they do with my dog and the bunny. I have installed a dog door to access the fenced-in backyard. I'd love to convert the garage into a shared exercise space and/or woodshop. I plan to install a big vegetable garden too. I just bought the house and have been working on remodeling. As such, the rent is reduced since I will continue to work on projects here and there over the next 6 months or so. When the projects are complete, the rent will go up slightly.
