    What's special

We are renting our magnificent Brooklyn Brownstone. Meticulously restored and modernized, it spans 3600 square feet over four floors (6 bedrooms/3 baths). Our house has extraordinary (almost magical) light throughout the day and is filled with open views due to its unique location on one of Clinton Hill's most handsome blocks. It is decorated with an eclectic mix of one-of-a kind, original, mid-century modern furniture, unique objects, and art. The house can be rented furnished or unfurnished, long or short term. The parlor floor has an open floor plan that includes a living and dining room and chef's kitchen. It features 14-foot ceilings, crown moldings, marble fireplaces, floor to ceiling windows and parquet floor. In the rear of the parlor floor is the newly renovated chef's kitchen with high-end appliances (Bluestar gas range, Sub-zero refrigerator etc.). A terrace opens to a gracious deck and beautiful rear garden with flowering trees. On the third floor you find two generous bedrooms each with a walk-in and walk-through closet and a fully renovated bathroom. The master bedroom has a king sized bed (and a crib) and is facing the quiet back yard. The large family room has a sleeper sofa and a generous work area. The fourth floor hosts two additional bedrooms, a (fully renovated) en-suite bathroom, and laundry room. The humongous playroom (400 square feet) has two twin beds (a twin bed with a trundle) and a toddler bed. The second bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, has another twin bed. The fifth floor can be used as a separate guest suite or apartment, complete with a bedroom (queen bed), living room, kitchenette and full bathroom. Large skylights provide tons of natural light in this beautiful airy and modern space designed by Chris McCoy of Steven Holl Architects (he also designed the 4th floor). Noteworthy is also that we have a whole house water filter! THE NEIGHBORHOOD Clinton Hill is one of Brooklyn's most trendy, diverse and culturally vibrant neighborhoods. Family- friendly, tree lined, and steeped in history. You can find some of Brooklyn's best restaurants, hippest bars and cafe's just around the corner of our house. Our home is also walking distance to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) with great performances and a beautiful movie theater, Fort Greene Park and farmer's market. Concerts and sports events at nearby Barkley Center are only a 15-minute walk away. Regardless how you prefer to get around, our neighborhood makes accessing Manhattan easy. The G and C trains are close by (5 minute walk) at Clinton-Washington Avenues. The 2,3,4,5,B,D, N,Q,R trains at Atlantic Avenue-Barkley Center are a 13 minute walk and Manhattan only a 15 minute train ride. For those who prefer to drive, our neighborhood offers plenty of free street parking.
