For the first time in nearly a decade, the Huff-Lamberton Mansion has open rooms for any interested college student. The Huff-Lamberton Mansion or the "Chateau of the Frontier" as it was known to early settlers, is Winona's most historic home. Erected in 1857 by Henry & Harriet Huff, during a time when the city's environment consisted mostly of rough lumber buildings and dirt roads the building has been home to orphans, senior citizens, students, and families for many generations. The buildings at the Huff-Lamberton mansion have been updated many times throughout the years, first as an orphanage in the 1960s, then as an assisted living facility in 1977, and again in 2011 when it was purchased by Bluff City Properties. The "Court Building" features five studio units. Any showing will offer the opportunity to view multiple units (pending availability). These studios feature a large living area with private, remodeled bathrooms. The court building also features 2 common area spaces and kitchens. Those areas/kitchens would be shared with 5-6 other tenants in the building.
